Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how SSLT Global ("SSLT Global", "we", "us") collects, uses, discloses and safeguards information when you visit https://ssltglobal.com (the "Site"). It is written to comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA (CCPA/CPRA), and Google's publisher policies for AdSense and Certified Publishing Partners.
1. Data controller
SSLT Global is the data controller for personal data processed through the Site. For privacy requests, contact ssltglobal2026@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
- Information you enter into calculators. LC amounts, freight rates, invoice values and similar inputs run in your browser. They are not transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly click "Save calculation" while signed in.
- Account information. If you register, we store your email address, a hashed password (via our authentication provider) and, optionally, a display name.
- Saved calculations. Signed-in users may save calculation records against their account. These rows are protected by row-level security scoped to your user ID.
- Technical data. IP address, user-agent, referrer, pages visited and timestamps, collected via server logs and first-party analytics for security and product improvement.
- Advertising and cookies data. Third-party ad and measurement partners (including Google) may collect device identifiers, IP address, approximate location, and interaction events to serve, cap and measure ads. See section 6.
3. Legal bases (GDPR / UK GDPR)
- Contract - to provide the account and saved-calculation features you request.
- Legitimate interests - to secure the Site, prevent abuse, measure aggregate usage and improve the tools.
- Consent - for non-essential cookies, personalised advertising, and any marketing email you opt into. You may withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation - to respond to lawful requests and enforce our Terms.
4. How we use information
- Operate calculators, save records to your account and generate PDFs.
- Authenticate users, enforce rate limits and detect abuse.
- Measure aggregate traffic, feature adoption and ad performance.
- Communicate transactional updates and, if opted in, product news.
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms.
We do not sell personal information for money. Some disclosures to advertising partners may qualify as "sale" or "sharing" under the CCPA/CPRA - see section 9 for your opt-out.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
We use strictly-necessary cookies for authentication and security, and, subject to your consent where required, analytics and advertising cookies. Full details are in our Cookie Policy. You can change consent at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.
6. Third-party advertising (Google AdSense and partners)
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies and similar identifiers to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this Site and other sites on the internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You may also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices (US) or youronlinechoices.eu (EEA / UK).
- For users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland we operate a Google- certified Consent Management Platform (CMP) compliant with the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework (TCF v2.2). Non-personalised ads are served by default until you consent to personalisation.
- Ads shown on the Site do not knowingly include content in Google-restricted categories. To report an inappropriate ad, email us at ssltglobal2026@gmail.com.
7. Analytics
We use privacy-respecting analytics to count aggregate visits and feature usage. Where analytics rely on non-essential cookies, we load them only after your consent.
8. Data sharing
- Service providers - hosting, authentication, database and email delivery, all bound by data-processing agreements.
- Advertising partners - Google and its certified partners for ad serving and measurement (section 6).
- Legal - where required by law, court order or to protect rights, property or safety.
- Business transfers - in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, subject to this Policy.
9. Your rights
- EEA / UK (GDPR): access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority (in the UK, the ICO).
- California (CCPA/CPRA): know, delete, correct, portability, and to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information and of targeted advertising. Use the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in the footer or email us.
- All users: withdraw consent at any time via the cookie banner or by emailing ssltglobal2026@gmail.com.
We respond to verifiable requests within the statutory time-frame (30 days GDPR, 45 days CCPA).
10. International transfers
Data may be processed in the United States and other jurisdictions. Where personal data leaves the EEA / UK, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.
11. Data retention
- Account records: for the life of the account and up to 24 months after deletion for legal/audit reasons.
- Saved calculations: until you delete them, or on account deletion.
- Server logs: up to 90 days.
- Advertising identifiers: per the third-party partner's own policy.
12. Security
We use TLS in transit, row-level security on the database, hashed passwords, rate-limiting and abuse monitoring. No system is perfectly secure - please use a strong, unique password.
13. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
