HS Code for Rubber Crumb & Scrap (HS 4004)

Ground vulcanized rubber - crumb (0.5-4 mm), powder (<0.5 mm), granulate - largely from end-of-life tyres (ELT). Applications: infill for artificial turf, playground surfacing, modified asphalt (rubberized bitumen), moulded goods. Outside EUDR scope because it is post-consumer, not primary natural rubber.

Frequently asked questions

Is crumb rubber EUDR-covered?

No. EUDR Article 3 scope is products containing natural rubber. Once rubber has been vulcanized, used in a tyre, and then ground - the resulting crumb is a recycled material, not a commodity covered by the deforestation-free obligation.
